Transfer press die is a press metal mold which is designed to arrange single dies in order of the manufacturing process on the arrangement board; and then processes by an exclusive pressing machine.
First, set a jig attached with a nail called a finger onto the feed bar of the press machine; and then the finger automatically transfers the material to the next process.

Advantages of Transfer Die Manufacturing
Compared with the single-type, the transfer type requires some considerations such as of positioning the material in between each process, and interference by the fingers; however, an automated continuous manufacturing is possible, therefore, it is suitable for mass production.
Moreover, compared with the progressive die, the transfer type decreases in number of products to be manufactured per SPM (production in a minute); however, it increases the yield ratio.

What is Progressive Die?
A progressive die is a metal mold used for mass production which is incorporated into a die set with plural number of manufacturing processes.
Work conveying within the die is done by a coil feeder (coil material supply device) provided within the press machine, therefore, manufacturing is performed without separating the product from the coil material until the final stage.
Advantages of Progressive Die Manufacturing
Compared with single die and transfer die, the progressive die achieves lower yield rate, and the difficulty on designing is higher, however, it becomes possible to bring SPM (production per minute), therefore, it is excellent for mass production.
